In Yevpatoria, a group of suspects in residential robbery was detained in hot pursuit

CrimeaPRESS reports:

More precisely, the raiders were detained in Dzhankoy, and in general this story has a cherchez la femme accent… But the story is interesting.

At night, a 43-year-old local resident called the Evpatoria police duty station with a message that two unknown guys, posing as law enforcement officers, entered his apartment and, threatening with a knife, openly took cash in foreign currency equivalent to 500 thousand rubles.

Police officers who arrived at the scene found that shortly before the crime, the victim was visiting a woman who provided intimate services and could see a large sum of money in the apartment. During a complex of operational-search activities, by lunchtime the next day, the woman in question was identified and detained. She confirmed the main version of the police officers and explained that she saw her “client” have a large amount of money and remembered where he kept it. She told this information to two of her friends.

Hot on the heels, in a short time, operatives with the force support of the Russian Guard detained the remaining suspects at their place of temporary residence in the city of Dzhankoy. They turned out to be two visitors: a 41-year-old man with a previous conviction and his 35-year-old friend— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

During the arrest, funds in both rubles and foreign currency were found and confiscated from the suspects. According to the men, they managed to exchange part of the amount stolen from the applicant and spend it on personal needs.

The investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Evpatoria opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery committed with illegal entry into a home, premises or other storage facility or on a large scale). Perpetrators may face up to 12 years in prison. A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against all three suspects. The police are also deciding whether to bring the detained woman to administrative responsibility for prostitution.
