In Yevpatoria, a local resident’s car was confiscated for repeated drunk driving

The Evpatoria prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 47-year-old local resident. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a person in a state of intoxication subject to administrative punishment for a similar act).

The court found that the man, having been brought to administrative responsibility for drunk driving, began driving a Ford Mondeo again in July of this year after drinking alcohol. Moving along Polupanova Street, he was stopped by traffic police officers, after undergoing a medical examination, the convict’s state of intoxication was confirmed— reported the supervisory agency.

The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 100 hours of compulsory labor with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for 2 years. The Ford Mondeo car belonging to the convicted person was confiscated to the state.
