In Yevpatoria, a sales representative who stole more than 4 million rubles was convicted

The Evpatoria Prosecutor’s Office supported the state prosecution in the criminal case against a 33-year-old local resident. He was found guilty under Part 3 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (embezzlement), Parts 3 and 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud).
It was established that the young man, working as a sales representative, on behalf of the employer, formed applications for the supply of products and the conclusion of contracts. He appropriated the funds received from contractors. He also formed applications on behalf of other companies, passing them off as genuine, and sent them to the office administration. He sold the shipped products to third parties.— the prosecutor’s office uncovered a fraudulent «scheme.»
More than 4 million rubles were stolen in this way. The material damage was compensated in full.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the perpetrator to 3 years and 6 months of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 2 years. The sentence has not entered into legal force.
