In Yevpatoria, artists update graffiti at a substation, which is dedicated to the “Crimean Spring”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The art object decorates the substation building at the intersection of Pobeda Avenue and Demysheva Street. The facade depicts the monuments “Motherland” and “Bronze Horseman”, as well as the castle “Swallow’s Nest”, which are connected by the Crimean Bridge. Its author is the artist, additional education teacher at the regional center for identifying and supporting gifted children “Impulse” Yana Kremneva. In 2019, she and her students, as part of a street art festival, painted a substation to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Crimean Spring. According to her, she thought about and created the sketch of the drawing with the children, then sent it for approval.
The updated graffiti, which is being transformed for the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia, will contain new elements, but the artist is keeping them secret for now.
Last time we couldn’t realize everything we wanted, because then we had a very tight deadline and the girls were still freshmen when we painted, so it was a little hard for them. Now we have time, so we want to add new interesting elements,” explained Yana Kremnyova.
The artist plans to complete the work on March 6.
