In Yevpatoria, criminal «tourists» were detained — they suspect a series of thefts

Employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Yevpatoria detained two natives from the Rostov region suspected of committing a series of thefts of personal property of guests of the resort city.
It was previously established that previously convicted 55-year-old woman and her 41-year-old accomplices arrived in Crimea for criminal fishing.
In just two days, the suspects managed to perform four thefts in the city of Yevpatoria. The attackers abducted the bags and backpacks left on the beaches unattended on the beaches. The criminal actions of the suspects for vacationers caused material damage totaling more than 260 thousand rubles.
During the searches conducted by the police at the place of temporary residence, the defendants found and seized stolen property.
Employees of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Evpatoria opened criminal cases on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft, with causing significant damage). The sanction of the article provides for punishment from a large fine to five years in prison. The suspect was chosen by a preventive measure in the form of detention.
A further audit for the involvement of suspects in the commission of other similar crimes in the territory of resort cities of the Republic of Crimea is carried out. Investigative events are ongoing.
