The solemn opening ceremony of the 5th Festival of Children’s and Family Films «Sunny Island» took place on the Theater Square of Evpatoria. The president of the festival is the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kharatyan, the co-president of the festival is the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea Tatiana Manezhina.
This year, Crimea welcomes already beloved participants of the creative project — People’s Artist of Russia Larisa Luzhina, director, animation film artist, Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation Natalia Dabizha, Director of the Center «School of Midshipmen» Marina Maiko, theater and film actor , TV presenter Mikhail Mamaev, actors Alexander Baluev and Tatyana Abramova, Honored Artist of Russia Yuri Belyaev, Honored Artist of Russia, director, screenwriter Natalya Bondarchuk, actor Igor Dnestryansky, Honored Artist of Russia Olga Mashnaya , — noted in the press — service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
For the first time among the guests of honor of the project are famous actors and cinematographers: actress, TV presenter Olesya Sudzilovskaya, People’s Artist of Russia Yulia Rutberg, Honored Artists of Russia Euclid Kyurdizis and Nikolai Denisov, Honored Artist of Russia Svetlana Toma, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Nikas Safronov, theater and film actress Maria Burlyaeva, film historian, film critic Nikolai Mayorov.
On the opening day of the festival, a press conference was held by the organizers and jury members of the creative project.
At the opening ceremony of the festival, People’s Artist of Russia Dmitry Kharatyan, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea Tatiana Manezhina delivered welcoming speeches. On behalf of the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Mikhail Nazarov addressed a greeting. On behalf of the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov, the guests and participants of the creative project were greeted by the Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Parliament Alla Ponomarenko.
In continuation, a new theatrical program “One Daisy, Two Daisies” was presented, in which the leading children’s creative teams of the republic performed.
Screenings of the competition program will be held in Yevpatoriya cinemas «Rocket» and «Kino Maximum», and on the open-air site in the city square it is planned to show films created at the Yalta film studio, which this year turned 105 years.
Films of the out-of-competition program will be shown in the children’s sanatoriums «Brigantina», «Seagull», boarding house named after. Gagarin, Evpatoria military children’s clinical sanatorium named after E.P. Glinka of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
This year, part of the competitive and out-of-competition programs will be shown in Simferopol — the Lumen cinema.
