Incident at the Dzhankoy checkpoint: an explosive device was found under the bottom of the car
CrimeaPRESS reports:
An improvised explosive device (IED), made from foreign-made components, was attached to the bottom of a car en route to Crimea. We discovered a dangerous “add-on” to the car at the Dzhankoy checkpoint. The explosive device has been neutralized.
Employees of the FSB of Russia at the Dzhankoy checkpoint during inspection activities on a car traveling to the territory of the Republic of Crimea, driven by a law enforcement officer of the Kherson region, discovered an object similar to an explosive device attached to the bottom under the driver’s seat— reports TASS.
The car was promptly moved to a safe distance, where explosives specialists who arrived on the scene neutralized the IED. According to experts, the explosive device was made from foreign-made components supplied to the territory of Ukraine by NATO countries.
All circumstances and persons involved in this incident are being established.
