Incident in Alushta: Three people on SUP boards were almost carried away into the open sea

In Alushta, while patrolling the waters near Professor’s Corner, the diving and rescue team of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Karelia discovered two adults and one child 900 meters from the shore. The family on SUP boards was slowly but surely being carried away to the open sea. The vacationers simply overestimated their strength and could not cope with the strong wind.

The victims were carefully towed by boat to a safe place. They did not require medical assistance. The rescuers gave the «conquerors of the sea elements» a preventive talk about water safety.
