Incident in the Sudak region: a 17-year-old boy died from electric shock

A criminal case has been opened in Sudak regarding the death of a young man from electric shock in a transformer substation.
It was established that on October 22, a 17-year-old resident of the village of Perevalovka climbed into the premises of a transformer substation, to which there was open access, receiving multiple electrical injuries incompatible with life. A criminal case was initiated based on the fact that work was performed that did not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of citizens, which resulted in the death of a minor through negligence (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)— reported in Sledkom.
Investigators have inspected the scene of the incident and are studying technical documentation on the maintenance of the structure. The actions of specialists responsible for compliance with safety regulations during the operation of the substation will be assessed.
