Rescuers of the Sudak emergency rescue team «CRIMEA-SPAS» evacuated a woman who was injured on the Golitsyn hiking trail near the village of Novy Svet.
In the morning, a signal was received that a woman was injured on the Golitsyn trail and could not continue moving on her own. The duty shift of the Sudak emergency rescue team “CRIMEA-SPAS”, consisting of 3 people, together with employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, went to the place of the call. Having arrived at the trail, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea began searching on foot. As a result, the woman was discovered on an observation deck near the Chaliapin grotto. As it turned out, the woman accidentally tripped and injured her ankle.— said the emergency department.
Rescuers immobilized the injured limb by applying a vacuum splint and ice. After that, she was transported to the ambulance using a stretcher. The path was about 1 km.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded: the key to success on any mountain hiking trail is caution, attentiveness and properly selected shoes.
