Infrastructure of Sevastopol: the improvement of the square «Korabel» is planned to be completed before the end of the year

In the area of ​​the cultural complex «Korabel» the landscaping of the square of the same name is being carried out. Works within the framework of an agreement between the Government of Sevastopol and the Government of Moscow are being carried out on an area of ​​about two hectares.

At the initiative of the residents and the corresponding order of the governor of the city, following the results of a bypass of the territory last year, we began to improve this square. Dense residential buildings adjoin the square, the center of attraction is the cultural complex «Korabel», around which there will be a well-maintained public space. An entrance group will be equipped here, leisure activities for children will be organized in the form of children’s playgrounds and sports grounds, including a pump track. Car parking spaces will also be provided. The improvement of the square last year started on the initiative of the residents and the corresponding order of the city governor. The contractor came to the site three weeks ago. At the moment, dismantling work has been fully completed, construction waste is being removed from the territory of the park.

To date, three units of equipment and 16 workers are working, vehicles are also involved in the removal of construction waste. Over five thousand sq. m of hard pavement will be restored throughout the site, ”said a representative of the contractor.

In the course of improvement, it is planned to create zones of quiet rest, pedestrian transit. In the central part of the square — on Korabela Butoma Square — the existing fountain will be replaced by a light-dynamic dry fountain, as on Ushakov Square and in the park 60 — Anniversary of the USSR, provide places for recreation. In all areas of the park, the installation of benches and bins is provided. A video surveillance system will also be installed here, additional landscaping and an automatic irrigation system will be installed, outdoor lighting, including landscape lighting, will be installed.

According to a representative of the contracting organization, outdoor lighting is also provided for in the area adjacent to the checkpoint of the Sevmorzavod. It is planned to install lamps on the flight of stairs, and the staircase itself will be repaired. In addition, the customer of the work sent a letter to the head of Sevmorzavod about the need to put the entrance group in order to complete the comprehensive improvement of the territory.
