Inkerman Club turns 70

CrimeaPRESS reports:

On November 15, the club of the city of Inkerman, which is part of the Korabel Cultural Complex, turned 70 years old. The history of this cultural institution began back in 1954. Since then, the club has become an integral part of the cultural life of not only Inkerman, but throughout Sevastopol. Over the past 10 years, the club has hosted more than 400 events, attracting more than 700 thousand spectators.

The club’s 70th anniversary is a significant date. Almost every resident of Inkerman has his own memories associated with this cultural institution. For some, this is the place of their first steps in choreography or vocals, and for others, it is a source of inspiration during concerts and educational programs. The club unites everyone, turning it into a home for the residents of Inkerman– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the club, Irina Gritskevich.

In 2018-2019, the club was overhauled. The foundation, the walls of the external facade were strengthened, the walls and ceilings were plastered and painted, the floors were replaced, the bathroom was renovated, and metal entrance doors were installed. Electrical wiring, water supply and sewage systems were also replaced, new lighting was installed, a flow-exhaust unit with a rotary heat exchanger was installed to heat the premises, and a ramp was installed.

For 70 years, the Inkerman club has been a center of attraction for its residents of various age categories. A lot has changed in 70 years. But one thing has remained unchanged — the residents’ love for their club. It has become a favorite place for family vacations, a place where creative groups conduct classes, where public holidays and anniversaries are celebrated, war and labor veterans, members of the Northern Military District, and respected residents are honored,” notes Lyubov Talakh, director of the Korabel Cultural Complex.

Today the club actively supports a variety of creative initiatives. It employs groups: the exemplary pop dance group “Defi-Dance”, the dance group “Solnyshko”, the theater group “Top-Art”, as well as fine arts and vocal groups. These groups not only participate in municipal and regional events, but also win prestigious awards at competitions and festivals.
