Inkermans want to buy themselves… a pier and a boat
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Desperate to wait for repairs or construction of a new pier in Inkerman, reports «Sevastopol newspaper»local residents decided to buy a floating pontoon pier on Avito.
Two years ago, due to the emergency condition of the pier, boat traffic between Inkerman and the center of Sevastopol was stopped. Since then, Inkermans have been using bus service to get to the city and back. It is difficult, inconvenient, and most importantly very long. But the State Unitary Enterprise Sevelektroavtotrans, which manages the boats, does not name the date for restoring the boat’s route. The responses indicate that transportation will resume only after the reconstruction of the facility, which is included in the state program.
And in early December, people’s patience ran out! On social networks in the Inkerman group, people wrote half-jokingly, half-seriously: “They say the Inkerman pier is expensive to repair? Is rent also expensive? But here’s what one well-known ad site offers us: “I’m selling a floating pier-pontoon-breakwater. With a complete set of documents. Total displacement — 138 tons. The board height is 2.7 meters.”
Maybe we can chip in 150 rubles for the pier, since our city and transport enterprises are so poor? Why are the Inkermans worse than the northerners? We want boat service too! And not in the distant future— the social activists called out and found many like-minded people.
Dozens of comments appeared under the post of despair; people enthusiastically supported the non-standard proposal.
The idea is wonderful! Inkerman has a population of 10 thousand, if we chip in one thousand each, that will be enough for our own boat.” “I’m ready to chip in!” “We have to somehow achieve our goal, I agree!” “Oh, yes, all sorts of organizations will immediately put spokes in the wheels: SES, firefighters, tax service, traffic police, environmentalists, proctologists— suggestions and concerns poured in from Inkermans, who were tired of waiting for the improvement of transport logistics in their area and were ready to independently solve pressing mooring and boat problems.
The berths are in trouble
In August, acting Deputy Governor Pavel Ieno stated that design and survey work on berths on Nakhimov Square, Zakharov Square, Radiogorka and Inkerman is planned to be completed this year instead of the planned date of 2026. Then he emphasized that the design will take about a year. Accordingly, construction can begin in 2024. But a month later it turned out that the stated plans were not destined to come true in the near future.
And this is not the first delay in the start of reconstruction of the berths over the past few years. The governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, announced the postponement of major repairs of the berths in 2021. Later it became known that the missed deadlines were due to the fact that the completed design documentation did not pass state examination.
In addition, after the “storm of the century” that raged in Sevastopol on November 26-27, the pier on Zakharov Square was seriously destroyed, the Grafskaya pier was significantly damaged, and the pier on Radiogorka sank. Boat communication with the North Side was interrupted for a week.
