Instruction from the Head of Crimea: it is necessary to eliminate traffic congestion in the cities of the Republic
CrimeaPRESS reports:
It is proposed to regulate traffic through the operation of traffic lights according to the “green wave” principle.
Organizing efficient traffic flow along the city road network through modernization and adjustment of traffic light facilities is one of the important tasks of the authorities of the Republic. This was stated by the Head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov during a working meeting at the Center for Organizing Road Safety of the Republic of Crimea.
According to the head of the State Road Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea, Anatoly Borisenko, 36 traffic lights have already been modernized in Simferopol, which are equipped with devices for analyzing the situation on the roads and controlling traffic flow.
Sergei Aksyonov instructed to make it mandatory to regulate traffic lights in the “green wave” mode in order not only to ensure the safe movement of vehicles, but also to solve the problem of traffic congestion.
It is necessary to organize the work so that the city forgets what a traffic jam is, especially during rush hours. This is a guarantee, among other things, that public transport adheres to a verified schedule. Please pay special attention to problem areas, including roundaboutssaid the Head of Crimea.
According to him, the work should not be limited to Simferopol alone: issues with congestion must be resolved in all cities of the Republic.
Thus, new traffic lights were installed in the capital on Sevastopolskaya and partly Kievskaya streets, along Kirov and Vernadsky Avenues, and work also began on Pobedy Avenue. The software will allow you to apply various traffic control modes, both automatically and with the help of operators.
Sergey Aksyonov emphasized the need to improve the quality of urban public transport.
Citizens continue to receive many complaints. The Minister of Transport of the Republic of Crimea, Nikolai Nikolaevich Lukashenko, must intensify the selection of drivers for passenger vehicles. I believe that this work is currently being carried out at an insufficient level, and the situation needs to be corrected. Nikolai Nikolaevich will personally supervise the search and hiring of specialists— the Head of the Republic set the task.
In addition, during the meeting, software based on the Center for Organizing Road Safety of the Republic of Crimea was presented, with the help of which requests and appeals from citizens on housing and communal services will be registered. This measure will allow monitoring the implementation of work according to requests, and will also help workers in the housing and communal services sector provide services to the population more quickly.
