CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Art Gallery of the East Crimean Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve hosted a presentation of the exhibition «The Art of Western Europe» from the funds of the Tula Museum of Fine Arts — a branch of the Tula Museum Association. This is the second inter-museum exchange of the twin cities of Tula and Kerch after the exhibition project «Kulikovo Field» by I.S. Glazunov, which was realized in 2019 in the halls of the Art Gallery of the Museum-Reserve.
The collection includes Italian, French, German, Austrian, Dutch, Polish schools of painting. Works of Western European art allow you to get acquainted with a number of artists belonging to different creative directions.
The exhibition is effectively complemented by objects of decorative and applied art of the 17th–19th centuries: samples of artistic bronze — sculpture of small forms of the animalistic genre, candelabra, mantel, office and travel clocks, brass bouillotes, porcelain vases , — the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea notes.
The curator of the exhibition «Art of Western Europe» was the Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, the chief curator of the Tula Museum of Fine Arts Galina Yeresko, who spoke about the history of the formation of the collection, and also expressed confidence in the further successful cooperation between the two museums in the implementation of joint exhibition projects.
The exhibition in Kerch will last until October this year.
In turn, within the framework of inter-museum cooperation, the Tula Museum of Fine Arts opened the exhibition «Magic of the Bosporus» from the funds of the East Crimean Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve.
