International forum of young filmmakers «Global Values» announced in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On July 21-24, the third International Forum of Young Filmmakers «Global Values» will be held in Sevastopol. This year the forum will bring together young filmmakers from Russia, Greece, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Senegal, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, Croatia. Film screenings and other forum events will be held at two venues — in the Sevastopol Center for Culture and Arts and the Rossiya cinema. The purpose of the forum is to preserve and develop the tradition of cinema about spiritual and moral ideals in human life, to attract the attention of young people to the problem of forming the image of a modern hero in society and art. The organizers are the Innopraktika company and the production center VGIK-Debut.
In Sevastopol, in the very heart of Crimea, the show will bring together talented authors from ten countries of the world. In a capacious format of a short film, the participants will present their works, which touch upon the most important problems of the modern world: globalism and multipolarity, national identity and patriotism, professional duty and family values - each author offers his own story and his own intonation— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova.
For the first time, the forum was announced in 2020 at the annual VGIK student festival. Since 2021, the event has been supported by the Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The rich, including cinematic, history of Sevastopol shows that art has no boundaries. The forum of young filmmakers, natives of different countries, is the best proof of this: we are all very different, but each of us is united by love for Russia, an understanding of national identity, professional duty, patriotism and main family values. I am sincerely grateful to the organizers of the forum, who did not change the port of registry of the festival. Sevastopol remains home to aspiring filmmakers— says Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The program of the forum includes the screening of 18 short films. They are dedicated to the problems of the modern world, including anti-globalism, protection of traditions, national identity, multipolar world, professional duty, patriotism, traditional family values.
Everyone is invited by the organizers to take part in discussions on the topics “This multipolar world”, “People in identity”, “Value in tradition”, “I start with family”.
The forum program also includes screenings of full-length films created at the VGIK-Debut production center: On the Exhale and The Adventures of Little Baja.
The musical accompaniment of the forum will be the compositions of the 4 SOLO ensemble. This is a team of students of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Gnesinykh, laureate of all-Russian and international competitions of ensembles of folk instruments.
The culmination of the forum will be the awards ceremony. According to the results of the creative competition, prizes will be awarded to the best directors.
