Internet pervert detained in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A 31-year-old local resident was detained in Sevastopol. The investigating authorities charge him with committing indecent acts against persons under the age of sixteen (part 3 of article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The nuance of the story is that the pervert operated using social networks.

Since 2015, a man on the Internet has been looking for underage girls to meet. In the course of informal correspondence on social networks, the attacker gained confidence in the schoolgirls, switched to obscene topics and sent them photos of depraved content, inciting the interlocutors to respond.

The illegal activity of a resident of Sevastopol was revealed by employees of the departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia authorized to carry out operational-search activities in the field of information technology, and stopped before these facts became known to the parents of teenagers. The detention of the suspect was carried out with the forceful support of the SOBR «Sokol» of the National Guard— reported in the Investigative Committee.

During the search, electronic media containing pornographic materials and confirming his criminal activities against minors were seized from the man at the place of residence. Currently, he has been charged under the above article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Schoolgirls from Sevastopol and Chelyabinsk were recognized as victims. Other episodes of the criminal activity of the man involved in the criminal case are also established. At the request of the investigator, the court chose for him a measure of crossing in the form of detention. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
