Interregional festival of Cossack culture «Crimean tulumbasy» ended with a gala concert

More than 300 artists from different regions of Russia took part in the festival.
The XVII Interregional Festival of Cossack Culture «Crimean Tulumbasy» ended with a gala concert with the participation of Cossack amateur groups and performers from all over Russia. An extensive concert program and awarding of the project participants took place on the stage of the House of Culture in the village of Frunze, Saki district.
More than 300 artists from Rostov, Volgograd, Kursk, Voronezh, Leningrad, Zaporozhye regions, Stavropol Territory, Republic of Crimea, Lugansk People’s Republic and Sevastopol took part in the festival.
The festival was held with the support of the Department for Cossacks of the Office of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea and the information support of the Ministry of Culture of Crimea.
Within the framework of the festival, a round table was held, a costume procession of the project participants was held, an exhibition of folk Cossack art was presented, master classes were held in folk crafts and traditional Cossack costume. Representatives of the military-historical club «Cossack Glory» from the city of Azov (Rostov region) demonstrated the reconstruction of the Cossack military life with traditional Cossack weapons, conducted a tour of the Cossack kuren, spoke about the original culture, historical and Orthodox traditions of the Cossacks, presented a dramatization of the «Immortal feat of the Don and Zaporizhzhya Cossacks: Azov siege seat. Cossack folk songs were performed by the folk ensemble of the Cossack song «Joy» of the Novoselovsky House of Culture of the Simferopol region.
During the Gala Concert, the guests of the festival were greeted by Ataman of the Black Sea Cossack Army, Cossack Colonel Anton Sirotkin, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Alla Ponomarenko.
The audience warmly welcomed the participants, supported with loud applause. The final song «Rise for the Faith, Russian Land!» caused a special response.
As part of the solemn award ceremony, the director of the Center for Folk Art of the Republic of Crimea, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Crimea Olga Chernikova and the director of the Cossacks of Crimea GKU Vladislav Motuzok presented the project participants with diplomas of laureates, as well as gratitude to the leaders and memorable gifts.
REFERENCE. The Crimean Tulumbasy interregional festival of Cossack culture is included in the Strategy of the State Policy of the Russian Federation towards the Russian Cossacks for 2021-2030, approved by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation.
The project allows you to expand knowledge about the Cossacks, imbued with national pride and patriotism. The festival is implemented using a grant provided by the Russian Cultural Foundation within the framework of the federal project «Creative People» of the national project «Culture».
The founders are the Military Cossack Society «Black Sea Cossack Host» and the State Public Institution «Cossacks of Crimea».
