Investigator — about double murder in Yalta

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has opened a criminal case into the murder of a married couple in Yalta (clause “a”, part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). On Saturday, the bodies of its owners — a 65-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman with signs of violent death — were discovered in the basement of a guest house in the village of Voskhod (Big Yalta).
A specially created group of the most experienced investigators and forensic investigators of the Main Investigation Department immediately arrived at the crime scene, a thorough inspection of the territory was carried out, with the help of forensic technology, significant traces were identified and collected, which formed the basis of the evidence base, and the murder weapon was discovered— reported in Sledkom.
The night before, in hot pursuit, while trying to escape from law enforcement agencies on suspicion of this crime, a resident of Yalta, a handyman who was looking after the guest house owned by the couple, was detained in Sudak.
It was established that on the morning of September 29, during an interpersonal conflict, the employee struck a woman and a man in the head numerous times with a bat, after which he moved their bodies to the basement. Currently, urgent investigative actions are being carried out with the participation of the suspect, he is confessinginvestigators said.
The investigation is preparing to charge the detainee with committing a double murder and go to court with a petition to select a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to him.
