Investigators to look into circumstances of collapse of ceiling trim in Simferopol kindergarten

During the monitoring of mass media and social networks, the Investigative Committee of Russia found a post with a video showing a plasterboard ceiling that had fallen in one of the rooms of a kindergarten in Simferopol. There were no casualties among the children or staff of the kindergarten.

On the instructions of the head of the Main Investigation Department Vladimir Terentyev, an investigation has been organized, the conduct of which has been entrusted to investigators of the Investigation Department for the Central District of Simferopol. Investigators will establish all the circumstances of the incident and assess the actions of officials of the preschool educational institution and the Department of Education of the Simferopol Administration who committed safety violations and make a procedural decision— the Investigative Committee reported.

The progress and results of the investigation are under the control of the leadership of the Main Investigation Department.
