Irina Kiviko: results of the participation of the Crimean delegation at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko summed up the work of the Crimean delegation at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Crimea retains its investment attractiveness. At the end of last year, Crimea took 5th place in the National Rating of the investment climate in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, and this in the context of a difficult geopolitical situation and the lack of air traffic. These are the results of the policy and work carried out by the Government of Crimea, which is built to ensure and interact with investors, transparent standards and openness of the investment team. At the forum, the government of the republic concluded memorandums on the implementation of investment projects in Kerch, Yalta, Feodosia and Yevpatoria, as well as in the Bakhchisarai region for a total amount of over 41.4 billion rubles. In particular, the largest signed project involves the construction of a residential complex “City of Ancient Traditions” in the Bakhchisaray district with an investment of 28 billion rubles.
Also, as the Deputy Prime Minister said, during SPIEF 2024, RNKB Bank, part of the VTB Group, signed agreements with the largest Crimean developers on the construction of residential facilities, two agreements with one of the largest agricultural holdings in Crimea on the construction of livestock and poultry complexes, as well as agreement on the implementation of an investment project to create an intelligent control system for transport infrastructure on the territory of the Republic of Crimea. A memorandum of cooperation was also signed as part of the implementation of an investment project to create warehouse and transport infrastructure to ensure food security in the Republic of Crimea. The total amount of agreements exceeded 100 billion rubles.
Also, within the framework of the forum, the Republic of Crimea and Sberbank signed two agreements on cooperation in the development and digitalization of public transport, as well as the formation of an integrated system for the management of municipal solid waste in the region.
