Is it to wait for the transition to taxation of property in the cadastr? The Ministry of Finance voiced information

Krympress reports:

The transition to calculating the property tax on the cadastral value is not yet planned, the Ministry of Finance said. This issue has been discussed for several years. According to the head of the Department of Tax Policy Danil Volkov, this is not the prospect of 2026. In the next two years, such a transition is impossible, since this issue has many nuances.

The transition to taxation of property at the cadastral value would have solved many problems, Volkov noted, speaking at the KEPT tax conference. In particular, this would help to distinguish between movable and immovable property during taxation. But in order to carry out such a transition, you need to work out a lot of nuances.

The effect of the transition to a new method of taxation may be uneven, the head of the department added. Some regions will benefit from the transition to the calculation of property tax on the cadastra, others will lose. In addition, it is necessary to determine the limiting rate of tax, which to arrange both business and regions. In addition, you need to work out questions with the characteristics of objects, the filling of Cadastre Rosreestr. It is important to come to a consensus on these issues.

In 2025 and 2026, the transition to the payment of property tax at the cadastral value should not be expected, Volkov said.
