In Simferopol, a 45-year-old woman was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm to her partner. She was found guilty of committing a crime under paragraph “h” of Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous bodily harm using an object used as a weapon).
The court found that in August last year, during a conflict that arose out of jealousy, the woman stabbed her partner in the lumbar region, causing a stab wound to the liver. The woman admitted her guilt in full— reported the prosecutor’s office.
The court agreed with the opinion of the state prosecutor about the guilt of the defendant and sentenced her to 2 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period for a similar period. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
