It has been decided how Sevastopol residents will be informed about the air raid warning
CrimeaPRESS reports:
To notify residents of Sevastopol about an air raid warning, the main city communication channels are used: sirens and loudspeakers, social networks, television and radio broadcasting. The organization of notification was discussed today at a staff meeting in the Government of Sevastopol. City Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev especially emphasized: from the moment the alarm is received, city residents have from 30 to 50 minutes to take measures to ensure personal safety — move to shelters or stay at home, following the instructions.
As soon as an air raid signal is received from the military, I personally give the command to launch an alert in the city. It will go through three main communication channels. EDDS will simultaneously launch sirens and loudspeakers and intercept federal channels. In parallel with this, information will be published in my telegram channel. And then, with a slight time lag, the alarm signal will be launched on local TV channels and radio stations,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the city.
Air raid warning signals will be broadcast on the TV channels «STV», «Sevastopol-24», «Vesti Sevastopol», «First Sevastopol», «Independent Television of Sevastopol», «Legendary24», as well as through cable television «SevStar» and on radio stations » Sevastopol FM» at a frequency of 102.0 FM and «Vesti FM Sevastopol» at a frequency of 90.8 FM.
SMS notifications will not be used: the mailing is received by subscribers within an hour; in the event of an air raid warning, it is not effective.
When a cancellation signal is received from the military, the air raid alert is lifted. In this case, the siren will be turned off, and the alarm signal will be turned off on all channels. Alarm announcement and clearing signals differ in both visual design and voicesays Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The governor instructed the relevant services to once again inform the population about the addresses of temporary shelters. He added that temporary shelters are intended, first of all, to protect against downed fragments of enemy missiles, spent air defense missiles, and fragments of broken glass.
