There are no plans to hold mass events in Crimea in honor of the New Year and Christmas. About this in my Telegram channel said the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov. The decision is logical and dictated by the spirit of the times and the letter of events. According to Aksyonov, the priority for the authorities is not entertainment, but the safety of citizens. But… This does not mean that the New Year was “cancelled” in Crimea.

Of course, we will do everything necessary to create a festive mood for the Crimeans. New Year’s holidays for children will be held in a limited format; In populated areas, as always, Christmas trees will be installed and streets will be decorated,” Aksyonov noted.

The Head of the Republic also recalled that a “yellow” level of terrorist threat is still in effect in a number of regions of Crimea and at important facilities.
