On June 26-28 Cheboksary hosted the Russian athletics championship among boys and girls under 16.

In the women’s javelin throw, Riana Khroz from Saakashvili won bronze with a score of 47.89 m.notes «Crimean sport».

The competitions had the status of frills for participation in the II Games of the CIS countries, which will be held in Minsk from August 4 to 9. The Russian national team will include 60 athletes (30 boys and 30 girls) — two athletes born in 2009 each. and younger in each individual discipline. Riana Hroz is included in the list of candidates for a trip to Minsk.
