Jazz evening announced in Sevastopol

Sevastopol — fans of jazz — are invited July to a jazz evening in the area of Stoletovsky Prospekt. The concert is organized by the activists of the public organization «Sevparks», and for the third time the territory of the estate No. 25 Choir of Chersonesos has been chosen as the venue. According to the head of the public organization Olga Glukhova, notes «Sevastopolskaya Gazeta», public men are already working with this estate for more than five years, their dream is to organize a park zone there together with the city government. To this end, activists are actively cooperating with archaeologists, historians, developing preliminary designs.

The purpose of the jazz festival is to support the territory as a cultural space, redefining its purpose and showing it as a good place for cultural recreation of citizens , Olga Glukhova explained to Sevastopolskaya Gazeta.

From her story it follows that the event, as a rule, is distinguished by a special attractive atmosphere. In addition to music, the program included a historical lecture hall, including on ancient Greek fashion, a theatrical program for children and an art plein air.

But the main event of the evening, of course, will be the music. The Yalta group Sparky Jam, the Sevastopol brass band Touch the wind and the very creative group from Rostov-on-Don Four Brothers Rostov were invited to perform for the Sevastopol people.

When asked about the capacity of the site, Olga Glukhova replied that there would be enough space for everyone. At the same time, she clarified that such events are usually focused on residents of the area who use this area for their daily recreation. On ordinary days, parents with children walk there, and this is indisputable evidence that the area really needs a full-fledged park space.

We invite to our jazz festival not only residents of the area, but also everyone. We want the townspeople to once again be convinced of the beauty of the place where the estate is located, and support us in an effort to set up a beautiful park or square here , says Olga Glukhova.

It remains to be reported that the estate is located between Stoletovsky Prospekt and Taras Shevchenko Street, opposite the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh, the event starts at 17.00. Free admission.
