July 17 — a day on which strong rains are necessarily going. These days were popularly named BAVs, since by this time winter crops grew on the fields. According to the weather, by the way, they tried the future crop. The main dish on the table today was oatmeal with oil. But! The first did not sit down at the table — at first they fed horses properly, because the success of the entire summer suffering depended on their strength and endurance. And animals were also allowed to breathe steam from boiled oat husk. It was believed that with the help of such a simple procedure, the horses will not hurt all year.
Several interesting rituals were also associated with oats on this day. So, if a girl wants to get married, she must cook oatmeal jelly, eat him and even lick a bowl so that nothing remains. If she does this, she will soon meet her narrowed, who will be faithful to her until the end of days.
The church now honors Andrei Nakiv or Andrei Rublev. This is one of those people whose work was recognized as masterpieces during the life of the authors. Andrei was engaged in icon painting, and in many temples his works were located. The Orthodox Church canonized Rublev, considering him to the face of saints. Unfortunately, there is little information about the life of Andrei Rublev. It is only known that he was born in a family of artisans, after which he accepted the monastic tonsure, being at a conscious age-this happened in the territory of the Trinity-Sergius Monastery.

And so that unclean perfumes do not get into the house — it must be fumigated with smoke of St. John’s wort. A twig of this plant should also be hanged over the threshold.
