Theodotus fulfilled the request, and the Lord helped him in this. The emperor learned about Theodotus and ordered the elder to be seized and subjected to numerous tortures. After this, Theodotus was executed. However, it is known that until the last second he did not renounce his faith and continued to glorify Jesus Christ.
