June 22 — All-Russian action «Minute of Silence». We remember, we mourn…
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On June 22, on the Day of Memory and Sorrow, at 12:15 Moscow time, the All-Russian action «Minute of Silence» will be held on the territory of the Russian Federation. Residents of the country will commemorate the 27 million people who heroically died during the Great Patriotic War.
Throughout the country, everyday life will stop for one minute: television and radio broadcasting will be interrupted, people will put aside their affairs, work and, bowing their heads, will honor the ancestors who bravely defended our great country and won victory over fascism. This moment of silence will become a symbol of immortal love for the Motherland and the eternal memory of the heroes. Preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, passing on knowledge about the exploits of our compatriots to future generations is the duty of each of us. A moment of silence will begin simultaneously in all regions of the country. It was at these moments on June 22, 1941 that a radio message about the German attack on the Soviet Union sounded on the air.— noted in the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.
The all-Russian action «Minute of Silence» is a traditional nationwide event, established by the decree of President Vladimir Putin in 2020.
