June 5 – Ecologist Day and World Environment Day.

I congratulate workers and veterans of environmental services, representatives of scientific and public organizations, activists and volunteers on the holiday.

Love for one’s native country begins with love for nature; this is one of the elements of morality, a part of one’s worldview,” the writer and teacher Konstantin Paustovsky rightly noted.

Caring for nature is the task of the state, society and each of us.

In Crimea, within the framework of the national project “Ecology” and other programs, new eco-technoparks are being built, MSW landfills are being reclaimed, and spontaneous landfills are being eliminated. The negative impact of enterprises on the environment is being reduced, new protected areas are being created, forest crops are being planted, and river beds are being cleaned.

It is very important that people of different generations participate in environmental actions, including young people, students and schoolchildren. Together we will achieve success.
