From 27 to 29, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate conducted an operational and preventive event on the roads of Crimea under the code name “Drunk Driver.” As you know, such raids are carried out regularly in order to reduce the accident rate and prevent accidents involving drivers who are intoxicated.
During the investigation, 106 cases of driving while intoxicated or refusing a medical examination were suppressed. 7 drivers were detained for driving a vehicle with signs of intoxication again, for which criminal liability is provided in accordance with Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to two years. If you drive while intoxicated again, the vehicle is subject to mandatory confiscation. All cars were confiscated and placed in a special parking lot.— reported the traffic police.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Republic of Crimea reminds that driving a vehicle while intoxicated entails an administrative penalty — a fine in the amount of 30,000 rubles, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one and a half to two years, if this administrative offense is repeated within a year, criminal liability under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
