Kayakers almost swept out to sea. Sevastopol rescuers came to the rescue

On July 24, at 14:00, the operational duty officer of the «Rescue Service of Sevastopol» received a message that two people in kayaks were being carried away to the sea in the waters of the Fig beach in the Balaklava district.
The duty shift of the search and rescue unit «Balaklava» left for the scene. Rescuers evacuated the victims and took them to a safe place. The work was completed at 14:50. From the State Institution «Rescue Service of Sevastopol» 4 personnel and 1 watercraft were involvedthe emergency department said.
