An honorary delegation of participants in the socially significant International project «Holy Laurels of Orthodox Rus'» was met in Kerch. The events began with a visit to the Temple of John the Baptist, where a prayer service was held on the occasion of the transfer of the icon «Cathedral of Heavenly Patrons Lavra of Holy Rus'».

The icon «Cathedral of the Heavenly Patrons of the Lavra of Holy Rus'» was painted by Donetsk icon painters in the summer 2011 of the year. This icon was delivered to the International Space Station by the crew of the Soyuz transport spacecraft, which launched on September 28 of the year. And returned to Earth — 28 February 2018 year. The icon was in space for 168 days, making 168 revolutions around the Earth, flying more than 114 million kilometers ,» the press service of the Kerch administration reported.
