Kerch is preparing for the New Year. A new Christmas tree with «old» decorations is being installed in the city

Kerch bought a new -meter tree at a price of 8.5 million rubles. It seems to be a scandal, because in Crimea they made a collegial decision not to spend budget money on the New Year. But no scandal: a) the purchase took place in the summer (before the initiatives to ban «holiday spending»), b) the Christmas tree was not paid entirely from the budget.

Last year, it was determined that the main city Christmas tree needs to be replaced, as an emergency one, due to complete wear and tear. The decision to purchase a new tree was made during the formation of plans for the 2022 year. The purchase was included in one of the contracts for landscaping, which continues in the city as part of the federal program for the development of a comfortable urban environment and the Cooperation Agreement between Moscow and Crimea , — reported in the press service of the administration of Kerch.

The Christmas tree was purchased in the summer, even before the order not to hold magnificent celebrations. Its cost is 8.5 million rubles, but in the purchase we are talking about a set — a Christmas tree and decorations for it.

That is, money from the municipal budget was not spent on the New Year’s set, the purchase was made under contracts for the improvement of the city under an agreement between the Moscow government and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation. Here, as they say, the whole point is: a) in the sources of funding, b) in the wording.

We bought a Christmas tree, which means we need to put up and decorate. It is already being installed near the colonnade in the central square of the city.

An addition to it will be an illumination in the form of a tent, which is stretched from the top of the New Year’s tree to the columns. In other districts of the city, three more Christmas trees, which were purchased in previous years, will be put up, the rest of the festive illumination that will decorate Kerch on New Year’s holidays , the administration specified.

The height of the new Kerch Christmas tree is meters. Its branches will be mounted in tiers, and the illumination will be formed in the form of a dome over the colonnade.

As for the local budget, I instructed not to spend money on any decorations this year. We will allocate funds only for the most necessary: ​​gifts for children for the New Year and New Year’s performances , — emphasized the head of the administration of Kerch Svyatoslav Brusakov.

For the second year the city has been buying children’s gifts for the holiday. This year, expenses for the purchase of New Year’s gifts for children from certain categories of citizens, including children of NWO participants, have been increased. In 413 year it was purchased 3120 sweet sets, in this it is planned to purchase more than 4000.

Also, on behalf of the head of the administration, funds were allocated for organizing and holding New Year’s parties for children. They will take place in the last days of December.

The installation of New Year’s decorations was also started on the square near the recreation center «Korabel». New Year’s beauties will also be placed at the children’s art school. R.V. Serdyuk and in Komsomolsky park. These fir trees and other New Year decorations were purchased by the city in previous years, — noted Svyatoslav Brusakov.

Entrepreneurs of Kerch will install fair houses for the organization of festive trade. In addition, employees of the Gorsvet-Kerch enterprise carry out preventive maintenance and repair of festive illumination, which will soon appear on city streets.
