A guilty verdict has been passed against a pensioner who committed crimes against the sexual integrity of minors in Kerch.

The evidence collected by the Main Investigation Department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol was recognized by the court as sufficient to convict the 65-year-old Kerch resident. He was found guilty of other acts of a sexual nature using the helpless state of minors (clause “b”, part 5, article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as well as indecent acts against a minor (part 2 of article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)— reported in Sledkom.

Investigators found that the man, taking advantage of the trust of minors, since he was a long-time acquaintance of their parents, invited 10, 11 and 12-year-old girls to his apartment from April to May 2023, where he repeatedly committed depraved and sexually violent acts against them. character.

The eldest girl made an audio recording on her mobile phone, recording the circumstances of the illegal acts, introducing her to her parents, who contacted law enforcement agencies. Investigators, in cooperation with employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, quickly detained the suspect.

The investigation has collected a sufficient evidence base and carried out the necessary forensic examinations. The defendant was chosen as a measure of crossing in the form of detention.

By a court verdict, the man was found guilty of committing these crimes and sentenced to 17 years in prison to be served in a maximum security correctional colony. He is deprived of the right to engage in activities related to working with children for a period of 8 years.
