The Kerch City Court of the Republic of Crimea prosecuted a previously convicted 31-year-old resident of the city of Kerch for embezzlement, theft and robbery.
As established by the court, in 2018, the defendant committed a number of thefts, namely, in the locker room of the Adrenaline sports club and in the church of St. John the Baptist, he stole personal belongings from the bags of the victims, and in a minibus No. The actions of the defendant caused damage to the victims in the total amount of 36,400 rubles. Further, in January 2023, the defendant committed robberies on the streets of the city of Kerch, namely, he snatched bags, packages containing personal items and food from the hands of passers-by. The actions of the defendant caused damage to the victims in the total amount of 14,500 rubles. Also, the defendant secretly stole a three-section ladder worth 14,000 rubles and from the bank account of one of the victims, from whom he stole a wallet from a bag in which there was a bank card, secretly stole 3,676.96 rubles, by paying for purchases in a contactless way, using cash terminals, installed in the stores of the city of Kerch— noted in the press service of the court.
The defendant admitted his guilt, repented of his deed, partially compensated the damage to the victims. Despite this, the court sentenced the defendant, taking into account the recidivism of crimes, to 3 years in prison with a sentence to be served in a special regime correctional colony.
