KFU donated antiseptic to military personnel. Self-produced drug
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, the Crimean Federal University, together with the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, collected humanitarian aid for the military on the front line. In addition to food, hygiene products, necessary equipment, letters and drawings from the cadets, the defenders will receive 3,000 units of “Army spray”, developed by university scientists.
“Army Spray” is a natural antiseptic based on hydrolates of medicinal essential oil crops — mountain thyme and aloe. The product was developed on the basis of the engineering center “Genetic and Cellular Biotechnologies” of Kazan Federal University. V. I. Vernadsky. The spray can be used for burns, abrasions, insect bites, injuries, cuts and wounds.
Thanks to the invention of the staff of the Medical Institute, we were able to collect a very important and useful humanitarian cargo to be sent to the front. Antiseptics are an essential item for those who are now defending their homeland. This spray will help improve the hygienic condition and sanitary-epidemiological situation. It’s gratifying that the university and the Investigative Committee have established such cooperation in order to jointly make their feasible contribution to ensuring and raising the morale of the guys who protect us, — quotes the press service of the head of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Terentyev.
In addition, employees of the engineering center are already testing other products based on plant hydrolates that grow in Crimea. Natural nasal and oral sprays with medicinal and antiseptic effects are already in the testing and laboratory research phase.
Completed parcels will soon be sent to the soldiers of the 126th coastal defense brigade, which is supervised by employees of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee, regularly collecting humanitarian aid.
