KFU students are participating in eliminating the consequences of bad weather in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Student volunteers of the Crimean Federal University joined the liquidation of the consequences of bad weather in Simferopol. According to the head of the Crimean branch of the Russian student teams, Vladimir Kaidansky, volunteers are helping municipal services clear the pedestrian and road areas of windfall.
Starting from November 28, we work in two shifts and work for 3-4 hours, so that the guys can study on the first shift and work on the second, or vice versa. There are quite a lot of fallen trees now. Students, upon request, went out to load tree trunks and remove branches— said Vladimir Kaidansky.
According to him, part of the harvested tree trunks will be sent as firewood to soldiers of a special military operation in the north of Crimea and the Kherson region.
This is my first time participating in such an event. When I found out that volunteers were needed to help the city’s public services, I gathered my friends to come and help, as I consider this a socially useful and important activity.notes Alexander Gerashchenko, a student at the KFU Medical Academy.
The work will take place in park areas, squares and residential areas of the city. About 80 people will take part in the cleanup.
