KFU students launched a youth educational project “Svoi”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the eve of the all-Russian holiday — the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland, which is celebrated annually on December 9 — students of the Crimean Federal University, with the support of the department of social and educational work of the university, launched the educational project “Ours”. The first on-site event within the framework of the project was held in the Central Library of the village of Gvardeyskoye, Simferopol district.
Homeland begins with a basic understanding of values, first of all, family. I think that in many families these are the concepts that are instilled. And when children are able to additionally receive this information in a sufficiently native way, then their patriotism will grow and strengthen.,” says KFU student, head of the “Svoi” project Yaroslav Sibilev.
The “Svoi” project aims to tell the younger generation about heroes and is aimed at developing patriotism and active citizenship, social responsibility and strengthening national consciousness and identity through visual images, exhibitions, screenings of thematic films and meetings with speakers.
The first participants in the project were students of the cadet class of the Guards school-gymnasium No. 3. A lecture about the heroes of the Fatherland and their military path was given to them by the deputy head of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation in the Republic of Crimea, former deputy commander of the Tavrida battalion, member of the North Military District Dmitry Voronin.
Our main task now is to develop the youth direction, explain the causes and consequences of SVO and what contributed to this. We must tell children the truth. For our part, on the part of the foundation, on the part of the participants in the special military operation, we conduct weekly “Lessons in Courage.” I personally participate in them, tell them what I experienced, what I saw there and why all this is happening.notes Dmitry Voronin.
In honor of the start of the student educational initiative, the Central Library of the village of Gvardeyskoye was visited by Deputy of the State Council of the Republic Natalya Yatsyshina and the head of the municipality, Chairman of the Simferopol District Council Svetlana Banar. Also during the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the library and the Crimean Federal University.
