Students of the Crimean Federal University — fighters of the Russian student teams — completed a vocational training program in the specialty «Category C tractor driver». A total of 50 people were trained. The program started in April. During this time, students have acquired the necessary theoretical knowledge, as well as practical skills in working with agricultural machinery. They got acquainted with the classification of tractors, their device, engines and systems.
In the process of preparation, students were engaged in simulators, which is a mandatory step before they start driving a tractor. Then they were trained directly to drive a tractor and perform agricultural operations such as mulching, plowing, cultivation. Each construction team member has the skills to work on a tractor in combination with a plow, cultivator and mulcher, — the press service of the university quotes the head. In addition, students listened to lectures on first aid. At the end of the training, the program participants passed the final exam, which was conducted with the participation of experts from Rostekhnadzor. During the exam, they demonstrated both theoretical knowledge and practical driving skills.
I have been interested in agricultural machinery for a long time, so I decided to get the qualification of a category “C” driver. The vocational training program, according to KFU, allows students to get a profession, and the region to reduce the shortage of agricultural personnel. It is implemented in the universities-winners of the grant competition for training in basic vocational training programs on a free basis for participants in student teams in the professions of workers, positions of employees necessary to carry out labor activities as part of the teams.
