KFU students won bronze at the World Cup in Acrobatic Rock and Roll
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Students of the Medical Institute of the Crimean Federal University took third place at the World Cup in acrobatic rock and roll. At international competitions, students represented the Indian team.
It is important for me that even the team of another country was represented exclusively by students of our university. Why exactly did the guys from India take part in these competitions? Because national dances are very developed there. The guys easily perceive the training process and easily learn what is needed in this sport– the press service of the university quotes the acting rector of the Crimean Federal University, Vladimir Kuryanov.
The head of the university added that, along with traditional sports, acrobatic rock and roll, as well as other dance forms, will continue to develop at the university.
The next competition for students will be the BRICS sports games, which will be held in mid-June in Kazan.
Acrobatic rock and roll is one of the areas of sports dance that combines choreographic and acrobatic elements. Currently, the total number of people involved in this sport exceeds 26,000 people. The World Cup in acrobatic rock and roll was held in St. Petersburg.
