Kherson region is interested in Crimean pink salt

Specialists of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Crimea, together with colleagues from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Kherson region, visited the Crimean salt industry. During the visit, a conversation was held with the executive director of the enterprise, an inspection of the areas involved in the production of pink Crimean salt, familiarization with the technological process, and the issue of possible forms of cooperation between industrial enterprises of the two constituent entities of the Russian Federation was also raised.
Crimean sea salt is a garden product formed as a result of the evaporation of sea water, dried under the influence of sunlight and wind. The technological process lasts for a year and includes drainage of pools, preparation of brine (saturated solution of salt lakes) and its evaporation— reminded in the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Crimea.
The salt mine is located in the Saki region. Its area is about 360 hectares of land.
