On Saturday, January 27, in Sevastopol they said goodbye to Guard Sergeant Maxim Chimonin.
Maxim Nikolaevich was born and spent his childhood in Podolsk, Moscow region. In 1986, he and his family moved to Sevastopol and graduated from school No. 14. After school he was called up for military service, after which he continued to serve under contract for some time, incl. as part of a military contingent in one of the foreign countries.
Since the mid-90s, he served in the famous Sevastopol riot police unit «Berkut», where he established himself as a trained warrior, a competent specialist, and an excellent comrade. He deservedly and proudly wore a maroon beret. After leaving the unit, he worked at city enterprises; in September 2022, he was drafted into the Russian Armed Forces as part of a partial mobilization and was sent to the military military zone. Having excellent military training, he enjoyed well-deserved authority and respect from his colleaguessaid Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
