«Kremlin Spruce» planted at the Crimean Federal University

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The “Kremlin Spruce” was planted on the territory of the Crimean Federal University. The seedling of this tree was grown from the seeds of spruce cones, which grows near the Kremlin wall in Moscow.

Planting any tree is a symbol of the beginning of something new. And for the Crimean Federal University, it is a symbol of the unity of our university and the country, the unity of Crimea with the Motherland, — says the acting rector of KFU. V. I. Vernadsky Vladimir Kuryanov.

The event was attended by the management, staff and students of the university. The initiative was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Crimea.

We contribute to the future by taking care of Russia’s ecology. It is very significant that this is happening on the territory of the Crimean Federal University. It is here that the generation of workers of our country is “nurtured”— said the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Crimea Artyom Berezovsky.

Four more such seedlings will be planted this autumn in the Botanical Garden named after N.V. Bagrov.
