On June 20, at 10:30 am, the KRYM-SPAS operational duty officer received a message that an elderly man (born 1936) had left his house in the village of Mezhgorye, Belogorsk District, and disappeared. The help of rescuers is required in his search in the mountain-forest zone. The duty shift of the Belogorsk emergency rescue team «Crimea-SPAS» left for the proposed place of search work.
Within two hours, the victim was found in the cave area of the underground lake Kara-Chokrak. He could not move on his own, so the rescuers on a stretcher evacuated him to an official car, after walking 1.5 km over difficult rough terrain. After that, the man was taken to the village of Mezhhirya and handed over to the ambulance staff.— reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
