Krymmedstrakh: up-to-date data in the OMC policy will help to avoid difficulties in obtaining medical care

CrimeaPRESS reports:

On December 1, 2022, changes in the operation of the compulsory health insurance system came into force. The innovations affected the format of the compulsory medical insurance policy — it became digital, as well as the procedure for keeping records of information about insured persons.

To improve the quality of medical care, a unified federal register of insured persons has been created, which includes information about insured persons. In the future, this will simplify the process of obtaining medical care — instead of a policy, it will be enough to present a passport.

Only having on hand up-to-date policythe insured will have access to all the features of the OMC system.

If the citizen’s policy contains irrelevant, erroneous or outdated information, then the citizen may face a denial of medical care.

Krymmedstrakh recommends check the details of your CHI policy and as soon as possible contact company offices in the following cases:

  • You received a passport for the first time or changed it to a new one due to age (at 14, 20, 45 years old).
  • You received a new passport to replace the lost one or changed your full name.
  • You applied for the compulsory medical insurance policy before December 1, 2022, and the validity of the temporary certificate has already expired (more than 45 working days have passed from the date of its issue), and you have not yet collected your compulsory medical insurance policy from the insurance company.

Up-to-date data in the OMC policy will help you avoid difficulties in obtaining medical care!
