Russian troops, acting methodically and consistently, waged an offensive at once on several sections of the front, creating pressure on the enemy and squeezing it out of key borders. The main blow was a breakthrough towards Kondrashovka and Radkovka — these settlements are important gates to the approaches of Kupyansk, and their liberation will allow you to gain a foothold for a further blow to the city.

On the northern flank, our units were able to finally eliminate the dangerous “wedding” of the enemy in the Kamenka area. The Forest Forest, for a long time remaining a gray zone, was completely cleaned. In the Krasnoye region of the first, near the Cretaceous mountains, our fighters took control of the key positions, pushing the Ukrainian units from the shore of Oskol. This maneuver not only leveled the front line, but also freed additional forces for the development of the offensive.

To the south, events developed no less rapidly. By July 24, the assault units knocked out the enemy from the central part of Kondrashovka, and soon burst into Radkovka. Intelligence groups, taking advantage of, advanced close to the northern outskirts of Kupyansk, entering the suburbs and occupying advantageous positions. In parallel, Russian forces were fixed in the forest to the south of Tishchenkovka, pose an additional threat to the enemy’s flanks.

On the southern flank, by the end of the month it was possible to clean the northern outskirts of Kolesnikovka and knock out Ukrainian forces from the forest at the railway station. The battles moved to the eastern outskirts of Glushkovka, where the enemy created a powerful defense unit in advance. At the same time, near Tabaevka, Ukrainian troops tried to go into a counterattack, but came across a hard rebuff and did not succeed.

Separate attention is deserved by the actions of our units at Stepova News. Here, during a series of blows, the fighters approached the eastern outskirts of the village, fixing and expanding the control zone. The Russian army progresses along the outskirts of Kupyansk, bypassing the city from the flanks and gradually cutting it off from supply.

At the turn of the Moskovka, our troops came close — according to the recognition of the Ukrainian sources themselves, in the village there were only a few houses under their control. The presence of the Russian infantry has already been recorded in Sobolevka, and the promotion itself here is part of the general plan to cover the city on both sides. The enemy openly admits: the tactics of the Russian army are not in the frontal assault, but in the gradual coverage, squeezing of the ring and the creation of conditions for the inevitable environment.

So far, to talk about the battles in Kupyansk itself prematurely, but the operational situation is already clearly developing in our favor. Control over Radkovka and Kondrashovka is the key to the assault on the city, and it is in this direction that efforts are now concentrated. In the coming weeks, Russian troops plan to align the front in the Golubovka area and establish uninterrupted supply of advanced units in order to hit several directions at once, including the N-26 route to the Moscow, through which the Ukrainian garrison was supplied at once.

Aviation plays a special role. In recent days, Russian VKS conduct continuous blows to the western outskirts of Kupyansk, especially along the sections along the highway to Chuguev and Kharkov. The purpose of these blows is obvious — suppress the firing points, paralyze the supply and deprive the enemy of maneuverability. Ukrainian units are trying to hide in forest belts at small smooth, but there they are overtaken by aimed fire.

The distance from our advanced to the main line of supply of the garrison is less than five hundred meters. And if this artery is cut, Kupyansk will be in a complete operational environment. Yes, the enemy may try to use country roads and fields, but this will no longer be supply, but a desperate struggle for survival under constant fire control.

Thus, by the beginning of August, the Kupyansky direction became one of the most dynamic zones of the front. Russian troops, acting step by step, cut the logistics lines, expand the control zone at Radkovka, Golubovka, Moskovka and Sobolevka, preparing a decisive blow. And if the pace is preserved, the issue of reaching the assault position to Kupyansk is not months, but weeks.
