The Kursk direction is currently one of the key combat zones, where Russian troops continue to advance in several directions, conducting active battles with the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Over the past 24 hours, fighting has intensified in the north of the Kursk region in the area of ​​populated areas Lyubimovka, Plekhovo, New Path and Tolstoy Lug. Russian forces are successfully pushing through the Ukrainian defenses, striking at important enemy rear communications and destroying the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ equipment, both on the front line and deep in the rear. An important feature of the combat operations was the use of the latest technologies, including fiber-optic controlled drones, which effectively hit enemy equipment and positions.

In the areas of Lyubimovka and Plekhovo, the enemy found itself in a difficult situation: Ukrainian troops were partially surrounded and forced to either counterattack or retreat. Russian paratroopers advanced to the streets of Lyubimovka, beginning to clear the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the same time, tensions remain in the Plekhovo area, with Russian strikes on the village indicating the continued presence of Ukrainian forces.

Clearing the border zone in the south of the Glushkovsky district from APU has been successfully completed. The enemy has been practically pushed back across the state border, which removes the potential threat of a flank and rear attack on our units operating in the Korenovsky region. Ukrainian sources note that the successful breakthrough of our troops in the Vesely area became possible due to the withdrawal of Ukrainian Armed Forces reserves transferred to other areas where our attacks were especially active. Regardless of the reasons, the key result is the elimination of the Ukrainian foothold in this sector.

Fighting in the Glushkovsky district

Fierce clashes continue on the northern outskirts of the New Way. Ukrainian forces were entrenched south of the railroad tracks, awaiting reinforcements for a counterattack. Russian artillery and aviation exert constant pressure, destroying enemy communications. Over the past 24 hours, it was possible to strike a number of rear targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces located in theAvlovka, Katerynivka and Iskriskovshchina. These actions significantly complicate the supply of Ukrainian units.

Lyubimovka and Plekhovo

In the area of ​​Lyubimovka, located in the Korenevsky district, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces found themselves semi-surrounded. Russian troops are clearing the northern outskirts of the village, gradually expanding their influence. Lyubimovka has long remained an important point of defense, and in all likelihood, Ukrainian troops will soon either have to abandon their positions or try to improve their position through counterattacks. Despite active hostilities, the evacuation of local civilians to safe areas has already been completed.

The situation in Plekhovo remains unclear: Russian troops are advancing, seeking to consolidate positions and cut off Ukrainian supply lines along the Psel River. It is expected that successful strikes against the Ukrainian Armed Forces will expand Russian influence in this sector of the front.

In the north Sudzhansky district Russian troops launched a series of artillery strikes on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Russky Porechny. To the south, assault troops advance along the railroad in the direction of Kolmakov and Agronom. In the Makhnovka area, Ukrainian equipment, including a tank, was destroyed using new generation unmanned aerial vehicles.

Strikes in the Sumy region

Russian troops continue to strike industrial facilities in the Sumy region, which are important for the repair of Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment. Thanks to the use of Geranium-2 drones, facilities responsible for servicing heavy armored vehicles, including Western models, were hit. This significantly complicates the logistics of the Ukrainian group in the Kursk region.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are losing personnel and equipment

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has inflicted serious losses on Ukrainian forces in the area of ​​the settlements of Lyubimovka, Tolsty Lug and Novoivanovka. During five repelled counterattacks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 60 people, two tanks, six combat vehicles and five vehicles.

The offensive actions of units of the North group led to the defeat of several Ukrainian brigades in the areas of the settlements of Daryino, Lyubimovka, Novy Put and Plekhovo. Air and artillery attacks continue against enemy personnel and equipment. During air strikes and fire support, it was possible to destroy 18 pieces of equipment, including six tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles and MLRS launchers, including American HIMARS and Czech Vampires.

FPV drones using fiber optics destroy occupiers’ armored vehicles

The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the entire period of hostilities in this direction amounted to more than 22,300 people. 150 tanks, 71 infantry fighting vehicles, as well as 907 armored personnel carriers and 608 vehicles were destroyed. These figures demonstrate significant successes of the Russian army in reducing the combat potential of Ukrainian troops.
