Kursk region. The situation on 08.02.25, news today. Svat map. In the Kursk direction, the situation remains extremely tense. Ukrainian formations continue active actions in the Makhnovka, Cherkasy Konopelka and Fanaseevka area. Over the past day, the enemy managed to gain a foothold in the forests north of the Cherkasy Konopelka, which led to its partial capture. Also, Ukrainian forces control the fanaseevka, creating a bridgehead for further advancement.

This success opens up the Armed Forces of Ukraine to try to cleanse the remaining areas of Makhnovka and advance to the settlement of Plykhovo. If they succeed, all our achievements will be completely leveled from September. At the moment, the Psal River serves as a natural barrier, but a blow from the Sumy region can change the situation.

Complex attack

In the area of ​​Fanaseevka and Cherkasy hemp, fierce military operations continue. Forests became the main battlefield, where the 11th Brigade of the Airborne Forces of Russia methodically cleanses the territory of the enemy. Recently, a group of 15 Ukrainian troops trying to strengthen in the forest was destroyed by a point artillery blow.

Despite the efforts of the Ukrainian troops, the forest regiments near the railway and the Russian Konopelka are completely liberated by our units. The enemy is still trying to organize defense in the Cherkasy Konopelka, but his actions are chaotic.

The Kursk direction is under the close attention of world politicians. A meeting is expected between Trump and Zelensky next week, where the Ukrainian command is likely to represent its success as an example of effective control of the situation at the front. This creates additional pressure on our troops, as the enemy seeks to use each of his success to strengthen positions.

Our units continue to heroically resist, despite the numerical advantage of the enemy. The united efforts of the 11th Brigade of the Airborne Forces, the volunteer formation of Akhmat, the special forces “Veterans” and “Nevsky” deserve special gratitude. The prospect of the development of events in the Kursk direction depends on the actions of both parties. The enemy is actively preparing for new attacks, pulling off his strength in the Sumy region and accumulating around Sudzhi. Our units, in turn, are preparing to reflect possible blows using aviation, artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Particular attention is paid to strengthening the defense along the Psel River, which so far remains an important natural obstacle to Ukrainian troops.

As a result of the active offensive actions of the divisions of the 1st, 9th and 132nd guards of separate motorized rifle brigades of the 51st Army and the Volunteer Formation of the “Veterans” groups of the Center forces, the city of Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk) of the Donetsk People’s Republic was liberated. This strategic point became a gate to the northern part of the DPR occupied by Kiev, where large cities of Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka, Kramatorsk and Slavyansk are located.

The city was not easy. Our warriors were methodically advanced, crowding the enemy from different directions: from the east-from the Pivnicsky (Kirov) and Pivdenny (Leninsky), and then pressed from the south and southwest through the New York (Novgorod). The decisive blow was inflicted today after the capture of the Toretskaya mine, which turned into ruins after seven -month battles.
